The Pisani family of Venezuela has it’s origins in the former Kingdom of Italy.  It is an enormous family with different backgrounds and with over 900 members.  The following are the stories of those adventurous members who migrated to Venezuela.  Their courage and determination led to the creation of this great family.




Ilario Pisani Paolini

Ilario was born on July 02, 1861 in the town of San Piero in Campo (I'Sola D'Elba), Livorno – Italia.  He was the son of Guisseppe Pisani and Argentina Paolini.  He migrated to Venezuela on or about 1.882 where he settled in Valera, Trujillo.  He married Maria Oliva Anselmi on December 11, 1884 in Valera, Trujillo.  They had a total of eight children: Angela Ragundis "Gunda" Pisani Anselmi, Antonieta Pisani Anselmi, Argentina "Agentina" Pisani Anselmi, José Nicolás "Pepe" Pisani Anselmi, Juan Bautista Pisani Anselmi, Hilario Pisani Anselmi, Rómulo Policarpo Pisani and José Napoleón Pisani Anselmi.  He was a merchant and owned various businesses around the state of Trujillo.  He passed away on March 29, 1914 in Valera, Trujillo from heart disease.


Omero Ezio Pisani Paolini

Omero was born on April 03, 1876 in the town of Marciana (I'sola D'Elba), Livorno – Italia.  He was the son Stefano Pisani and Filomena Paolini.  He migrated to Venezuela on 1892 where he settled in Guasipati, Bolívar.  He married Nieves Guzmán on February 19, 1914 in the Salón del Concejo Municipal del Distrito Roscio, Bolívar.  They had a total of eleven children: Blanca Pisani Guzmán, Eneas Pisani Guzmán, Homero Lamberto Pisani Guzmán, Pablo Esteban Pisani Guzmán, María Antonia "Tońa" Pisani Guzmán, Bernardo Esteban Pisani Guzmán, Víctor Manuel Pisani Guzmán, Ítalo Esteban Pisani Guzmán, Elba Del Carmen Pisani Guzmán, Publio Virgilio Pisani Guzmán and Marco Poncio Catón Pisani Guzmán.  He was a landowner and did business in the state of Bolívar.  He passed away on June 10, 1949 in Caracas, Distrito Federal.


Fortunato Pisani

Fortunato was born on the Island of Elba (I'sola D'Elba), Livorno – Italia.  He migrated to Venezuela in the middle of the XIX century where he settled in Táriba, Táchira.  He married Mercedes Crespo.  They had a total of twelve children: Juan Pisani Crespo, Miguel Pisani Crespo, Filomena Pisani Crespo, Eloisa Pisani Crespo, Maria Antonia Pisani Crespo, Rosa Pisani Crespo, Fortunato Pisani Crespo, Mercedes Pisani Crespo, Francisco Pisani Crespo, Isabel Pisani Crespo, Itala Pisani and ??? Pisani Crespo.  He was a businessman and did business around the state of Táchira.


Carmine “Carmelo” Pisani Lapresta

Carmine was born on January 13, 1914 in the town of Cersuta, Calabria – Italia.  He was the son of Florentino Pisani and Francesca Lapresta.  He migrated to Venezuela on October 09, 1927 where he settled in Caracas, Distrito Federal.  He Married Mercedes Vera on September 13, 1945 in Caracas, Distrito Federal and  had a total of fifteen children: Yanina Bernarda Pisani Vera, Carmelo Fermín Pisani Vera, Esther Josefina Pisani Vera, Julio Rosendo Pisani Vera, Jaqueline Asunción Pisani Vera, Domingo Isaac Pisani Vera, Nelson Ramón Pisani Vera, Dinorah Egidia Pisani Vera, Carlos Enrique Pisani Vera, Roberto Antonio Pisani Vera, Elisa Mercedes Pisani Vera, Leonardo José Pisani Vera, Franchesca Amanda Pisani Vera and Florentino Felipe Pisani Vera and Elina Vera.  Elina Vera is a biological daughter from this marriage but she wasn’t recognized by Carmine.  Carmine had two more children out of wed lock.  The first one was Felix Blanco, son of Carmine and Josefa Blanco.  Felix Blanco is a biological son but wasn’t recognized by Carmine.  The second one was Guadalupe “Lupe” Linares, son of Carmine and Elba Guzmán.  Guadalupe “Lupe” Linares is a biological daughter of Carmine but she was recognized by Andres Linares.  He was a businessman and did business in the Distrito Federal.  He passed away on May 05, 1995 in Caracas, Distrito Federal.


Miguelle “Miguel” Pisani Lapresta

Miguelle was born on April 26, 1908 in the town of Cersuta, Calabria – Italia.  He was the son of Florentino Pisani and Francesca Lapresta.  He migrated to Venezuela at the beginning of the XX century where he settled in Caracas, Distrito Federal.  He Married Rosa San José and had a total of five children: Francia Pisani San José, Humberto Pisani San José, Florentino Pisani San José, Alfredo Pisani San José y Gladys Pisani San José.  He was a businessman and did business in the Distrito Federal.  He passed away on June 8, 1966 in Caracas, Distrito Federal.



Nicolas Pisani Lapresta

Nicolas was born on April 29, 1916 in the town of Cersuta, Calabria – Italia.  He was the son of Florentino Pisani and Francesca Lapresta.  He migrated to Venezuela on May 19, 1931 where he settled in Caracas, Distrito Federal.  He was a businessman and did business in the Distrito Federal.  He passed away on ??? in Caracas, Distrito Federal.
